Color laser
The pulsed color laser removes the red color from the blood vessels. It is the "gold standard" in the treatment of the vessels. It is suitable for the treatment of:
- port-wine stains (nevus flammeus)
- hemangiomas (haemangiomas)
- red veins, couperosis or telangiectasia
- fine spider veins (dilated veins) on the legs
- scars, warts
- stretch marks (striae distensae rubra = fresh stage)
- yellow fat deposits on the eyelids (xanthelasma)
Functionality
With its very special light spectrum, our dye laser (Candela VBeam) ensures that only the small vessels in the skin are hit, while the surrounding connective tissue remains just as unharmed as the nerve cells or hair or sweat cells. Thus, the fully parallel and focused light beam of the pulsed dye laser hits only the small blood vessels under the skin and, within an extremely short pulse of less than a millionth of a second, breaks them down into countless small particles that can then be broken down by the body's cells.
Is the treatment painful?
Compared to other methods used so far, laser treatment with the flashlamp-pulsed dye laser (Candela VBeam) is much faster, more effective and less painful. However, it is not completely painless. This is because the individual light pulses produce a brief pain due to heat emission and absorption, comparable to a tiny pinprick. This is very well tolerated even without local anesthetics. An anesthetic cream can be applied one hour before treatment to particularly pain-sensitive areas of the face and to small children.
